WHY EGYPT?
Equestrian sport needs essential ingredients to ensure continuous success
with the ever-challenging and demanding dimensions the world faces.
Some of these essential ingredients which Egypt has leading footsteps in are:
- Regular and planned cooperation with the FEI to establish required regional development in the infrastructure of the sport and in that sense,
Egypt has certainly covered tremendous grounds.
- The ability to market the sport regionally in order to develop the industry within by creating a fertile environment for local and regional media,
which in return will enrich the sport through sponsorship programs for riders as well as international events, in addition to inviting sponsoring companies to supply continuous,
regular and planned funding that would ensure long-term implementation of our structured programs.
Providing the entire necessary infrastructure which Egypt has covered lots of ground in, such as:
- Training grounds of international standards
- Competition grounds of international and technical standards
- Locations for training camps with full facilities to host both horses and teams
Egypt continuously hosts training clinics and workshops in cooperation with FEI Technical Committees in various fields:
coaching, judging, course building and course designing. Egypt also has a regular supply of veterinarians and farriers as part of its mutual cooperation with several entities
such as the French and German Equestrian Federations.
In all of these domains, Egypt can host seminars, workshops and clinics for the whole African continent
and has the infrastructure for hosting national African teams and holding regional as well as international tournaments and qualifiers on borrowed horses.
In the year 2000, Egypt initiated the concept of an African Federation with the former President of the Egyptian Equestrian Federation, Eng. Abdelfatah Ragab.
Finally, Egypt has several pillars for progress where first and foremost, we can all agree that its rich history of achievements and records stand clear
for the Egyptian Equestrian Federation since 1942 and until today. This reveals a long road well-travelled, full with mileage of experiences,
success and determination for a promising future, as well as bridges and bonds with international acquaintances that continuously support our goal.
Sincerely,
Hesham Hatab
President
